For caravaners. During rain & wind do not book here. Ground is extremely muddy to the point of our feet sinking 6inches into the ground, drainage needs serious improvement. ground is also uneven & sloped with mole hills. There no outdoor lighting on the grounds either so make sure you set up very early as it take some time setting up in gale force winds in 6inch of mud. wind hit this area very hard.
Nice and peaceful place to stay. At night it is so dark and if you have chance you can watch the stars. There toilet and bathroom are sharing. However they're clean. The owners are friendly and welcoming. There is no tea or coffee provided. But pot, pand, kettle, cups ...are provided. There is a small fridge in the cabins. There is a wooden stove and logs to be used for free. But if you need more you can buy at the reception. The bedding sets are provided however you need to put them on.At the end you need to clean the cabin and put the garbage in the bins outside the cabin.
Great place to stay for a short-break with the family. Set amidst the windswept northern Lakes with amazing views of the fells. Not far from Wigton with local shops, restaurants and pubs and minutes from the Lake District National Park. Lovely self-catering cottage with hot-tub on the deck. Hot tub was steaming when we arrived and enjoyed the views of snow on the hills whilst keeping toasty under the water! Clean, well equipped cottage with log-burning stove and fuel. Dishwasher, free-view TV and plenty of room plus games and books. Friendly owner available for any questions or advice plus wood supplies (at additional cost). Would recommend.
Have been here twice and both times the hospitality has been absolutely perfect! The place is dog friendly. The B&B rooms are very well appointed, super clean and with very comfy beds and bedding. The owners go or of their way to help and to make sure you enjoy your stay. Top marks!!!
Just returned from 3 night stay. Stopped in the tree house cabin. Loved it all... location, hot tub, dog friendly. .. will definitely return.
